Deposit Money (For local Customers)

Once you have registered as a standing order customer please be kind enough to use the following methods for deposit money to your standing order account for better and quick service.

The methods of payments:

    1. Deposit money through banks:
      • Direct Cash Payments
      • Direct Cheque Payments
      • Bank Draft

      By using above methods you can update your standing order account through bank. In the case of payment it should be written in favor of "Postmaster General" and should deposit money to the account number 046 - 1 - 001 - 8 - 9027352 (Peoples Bank). When you posting the deposit slip please be kind enough to clearly note your standing order registration number (lS number) on the deposit slip. Otherwise the updating your account can cause some problems and it will take time to update.

    2. Postal Money Transfer

      3. This service is conducting through post offices and, the recipient/payee should be mentioned as "The Director, Philatelic Bureau, Postal Headquarters" and sender should be your name and standing order account number and the receipt should post to the Philatelic bureau.

    3. Money Order

      4. When drawing money order through a post office the recipient/payee should be mentioned as "Post Master General" and the paying office should be mentioned as "Postal Headquarters". And the original receipt should post to the philatelic bureau and it should clearly note your name and standing order account number (LS number).

    4. Payment by Cheque

      5. In the case of payment by cheque it should be written in favor of "Postmaster General" or account number as "046 - 1 - 001 - 8 - 9027352 (Peoples Bank)" and backside of the cheque note your standing order account number (LS number) and post it though the following address.

    5. Credit Card

      6. If intending to make the payment in person, you can pay directly at the Philatelic Bureau, by visa type credit card.

      Important:I The letters should be sent by Registered Post addressed to "The Director, Philatelic Bureau, Postal Headquarters,31O, D.R. Wijewardena Mawatha, Colombo - 10".



Deposit Money (For Foreign Customers)

You shall make your remittance through Cheque, Bank Draft or Telegraphic Transfer in favour of IA Postmaster General Sri Lanka'to his account no. 046-1001-8-9027352 with Peoples' Bank, First City Branch 046,No-68,York Street, Colombo 0001,Sri Lanka.(SWIFT Code-PSBKLKLX23) and furnished your personal details to the Philatelic Bureau. The currencies accepted are US$, UK (£) and Euro (€) Please note that all orders will be dispatched to you under Registered Mail and the postage incurred will be deducted from your account .

Important: maximum weight for 1 dispatch is 2Kg only, every additional weight will be another package
